Job Title: CAD Engineer.

Qualification B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering

Experience : 8 years

Location : Hosur

Notice period :Immediate to 30 days / currently serving

Key Requirements:

- 8 years of experience in automotive component design with the support of CATIA software.
- Utilize CAD software (CATIA V5/V6) to create detailed 2D and 3D models of mechanical components and systems for automotive applications.
- Collaborate with cross functional team to understand design requirements and specifications.
- Valuable knowledge in PLM (Dassault System Enovia) for drawing release activities.
- Knowledge on Engineering change order and requests.
- Develop innovative design solutions that meet performance, reliability, and cost targets while adhering to project timelines.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate design concepts, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Perform tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;) to ensure proper fit, form, and function of components.
- Generate detailed engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOM),



and other technical documentation to support manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Work closely with manufacturing engineers and suppliers to ensure that designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve design quality and efficiency.

Key Skills & Competences:

- Proficiency in CAD software, such as CATIA.
- Good knowledge in PLM for release and engineering changes activities.
- Engineering drawing interpretation: Dimensioning and tolerancing, GD&T;, Surface treatments, Sealing requirements, Form-Fit-Function (FFF)
- Experience with design analysis tools (e.g., Finite Element Analysis) is added advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and soft skills.
- Customer-focused and result-oriented mindset.
