Job Role Cable Specialist Engineer Reports to Job - Role Sr Manager - Grid Protection Reportee Job - Role NA Individual Contributor Minimum Qualification B E B Tech in EEE M E MTech in High voltage engineering Experience 8-10 years Experience in EHV Cable Design Manufacturing Sizing Installation Testing and Commissioning Purpose of Role The Candidate shall possess excellent knowledge and experience in the EHV Cable System Desing Manufacturing Installation and commissioning He shall review the requirements and be able to provide technical guidance to the engineering team in selecting the right size of cable He shall be able to diagnose the cable failures and be able to identify the root cause of the issue He shall recommend proper measures for cable selection installation so that cables do not fail during service for the intended application Key Responsibilities Review the Specification Engineering requirements with respect to cable engineering and provide guidelines to engineering team about selection Development of SOP for Installation of cables Development of Testing and commissioning procedure for cables Thorough experience in MV HV EHV Cable Insulation Partial Discharge measurement and interpretation of PD Data for diagnosing the fault Through knowledge about termination of cable termination straight through joint PD measurement techniques Knowledge of Submarine cable is an added advantage Shall be well versed with IEEE IEC IS Standards with respect to Cable and its accessories Selection Manufacturing Testing Installation and commissioning Operating Network Internally Head of Engineering Engineering team members External Clients Consultants Vendors Key Value Drivers On Time Delivery Flair for Innovation Oriented towards Quality Knowledge Sharing Self-Learning Growth Software Skills Required Good working knowledge on MS Office Tools Excel Power Point Knowledge of Engineering Software - CYMCAP Behavioural Attributes Valuable communicator Self-motivated Willingness to interact with people from multicultural backgrounds Willingness to work independently Customer at Core Sustainable Partnership Anticipating Needs Customer Centricity Disruptive Innovation Challenge Traditional Approaches Generating Innovative Solutions Take Calculated Risks Collaborate and Coordinate Internal Stakeholders External Stakeholders
