Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Chennai.

The Business Development

Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities in the electrical engineering services sector, build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, and develop strategies to expand market presence. Daily activities include prospecting, client meetings, preparing proposals and bids, coordinating with technical teams to align service offerings with client needs, and monitoring industry trends and competitors. The role also involves achieving sales targets,



maintaining accurate sales and pipeline reports, representing the company at industry events, and collaborating with management to refine service offerings and pricing strategies.

Qualifications

Proven experience in business development, sales, preferably in engineering services or electrical infrastructure sectors.

Strong knowledge or familiarity with preventive maintenance, operation and maintenance, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting for electrical equipment is an advantage.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships.

Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategic plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.

Comfort working on-site in Chennai, collaborating closely with technical and operations teams.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools, along with robust organizational and time-management abilities.

Willingness to travel to client sites and industry events as needed.
