This role focuses on identifying industrial and utility-scale thermal opportunities
(including traditional power generation, industrial steam/cogeneration, waste heat recovery, and emerging clean-thermal technologies), building high-value client relationships, and leading bids from initial tracking through to commercial closure.
Key Responsibilities
Market Intelligence & Strategy: Track, analyze, and forecast market trends, regulatory frameworks, and competitive landscapes within the heavy industry and power sectors to identify prospective thermal projects.
Pipeline Generation: Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities, including large-scale engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects, captive power plants, and industrial utility modernizations.
Key Account Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with C-suite executives, government bodies, public sector undertakings (PSUs), and private industrial giants.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
An MBA in Marketing, International Business, or Finance is highly preferred.
Experience: 15 to 18 years of core business development, sales, or bid management experience specifically in utility or industrial thermal projects (Boilers, Turbines,
Generators, Gasification, or Waste Heat Recovery Systems).
Industry Network: Established relationships with major industrial clients (e.g., steel,
cement, chemicals, refineries), consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of thermal power plant cycles,
thermodynamics, fuel economics, and a developing knowledge of decarbonization/transition technologies (e.g., biomass co-firing, carbon capture).
Commercial Acumen: Deep familiarity with project financing, financial modeling (IRR,
NPV), and standard heavy-engineering contracting terms (e.g., FIDIC contracts).
