We are hiring for the role of Charge Entry for Day Shift/Night Shift

Key Responsibilities:

- Accurately enter patient demographics, insurance details, and service-related information into the billing system based on documentation provided (e.g., encounter forms, physician notes, and electronic medical records).
- Review and verify charges for completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation before posting to patient accounts.
- Ensure all charges are entered in compliance with applicable coding standards (such as CPT, ICD, and HCPCS) and organizational guidelines.
- Cross-check insurance eligibility and benefits to confirm coverage and avoid claim rejections.
- Post charges to patient accounts within defined turnaround times while maintaining high accuracy levels.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, missing information, or inconsistencies in documentation by coordinating with coding teams, providers, or front-office staff.
- Utilize billing software and EMR/EHR systems efficiently to process charge entry and maintain updated patient records.
- Ensure adherence to payer-specific rules, claim submission guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Support claims submission processes by ensuring clean and error-free charge capture.




- Monitor work queues and prioritize tasks to meet productivity and quality benchmarks.
- Assist in audits by providing required documentation and clarifications related to charge entries.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of medical billing processes and revenue cycle management.
- Familiarity with medical coding systems (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).
- Experience with billing software and EMR/EHR systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Ability to work within deadlines and manage high-volume workloads.
- Basic understanding of insurance verification and claims processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel.
- If applying for Night Shift, knowledge about DME Process is required
