Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst- Renewable Energy to support the design, development, and scaling of AI-first, mobile-first SaaS products in the renewable energy domain. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in at least one of the following product areas:
Centralized analytics / monitoring platform
Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Procurement / Commercial management systems The role requires solid functional understanding, market intelligence, product documentation skills, and the ability to drive product features that create measurable business value and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Business Requirement
Understanding
Engage with internal teams, customers, and domain experts to understand workflows related to solar/wind/BESS operations, commercial processes, asset monitoring, or maintenance.
Conduct requirement workshops, field studies, and process mapping.
Translate domain understanding into actionable product requirements.

Product
Documentation & Delivery
Write clear, detailed, and structured documents:
BRD (Business Requirement Document)
PRD (Product Requirement Document)
User Stories, Edge Cases, Acceptance Criteria
Process Flows, Wireframes, Functional Specs
Collaborate with engineering, QA, and business teams for sprint planning and feature delivery.
Prioritize features based on customer impact, effort, and revenue potential.
- AI-First & Mobile-First Product Thinking
Define AI-powered use cases: predictive insights, automated recommendations, anomaly detection, forecasting, copilots, and workflow automation.
Work with LLM/AI engineering teams to scope and shape new intelligent features.
Design mobile-first experiences for field teams and easy accessibility.
Increase productivity of the end users

Market
Research & Competitive Analysis
Conduct deep-dive analysis on competing products in renewable energy, CMMS, procurement,
and analytics space.
Benchmark product features, UX, pricing models, technology stack, and differentiation.
Identify opportunities for new revenue streams, premium modules, and upsell potential.
- UI/UX Collaboration
Use Lovable, Figma, or similar tools to create:
Wireframes
User flows
Low-fidelity and high-fidelity mockups 6. Revenue & Business Alignment
Contribute to product pricing, packaging, and monetization strategy.
Identify new business use cases that drive ARR, cross-sell, or subscription upgrades.
Track product KPIs such as adoption, user engagement, conversion, and revenue impact.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years experience in software product development in the renewable energy sector.
Mandatory prior functional experience in one of the following:
Centralized monitoring & analytics platforms
CMMS (maintenance management)
Procurement or commercial management systems
Strong ability to understand energy workflows, asset hierarchy, PR/PLF KPIs, alarms, tickets, or supply-chain processes.
Hands-on proficiency with Figma or Lovable for product design and prototyping.
Experience defining AI-driven features and collaborating with engineering/AI teams.
Strong documentation skills (BRD, PRD, user stories, wireframes, process flowcharts).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and research abilities.
Good to Have
Experience in SaaS product development for large enterprise customers ( B2B applications).
Exposure to AI/LLM-based platforms, predictive analytics, automation tools.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
