Key Responsibilities:
Bluetooth Stack Integration
- Integrate and configure Bluetooth stack (Classic & BLE) into infotainment platforms (QNX, Android Automotive, Linux).
- Enable and customize Bluetooth profiles (HFP, A2DP, AVRCP, PBAP, MAP, SPP, GATT, HID) according to OEM requirements.
- Collaborate with chipset vendors (Qualcomm, NXP, Renesas) to adapt BSP and HAL layers for Bluetooth functionality.
Development & Debugging
- Analyze Bluetooth logs (HCI traces, BT snoop logs, stack logs) and resolve connectivity, audio streaming, and telephony issues.
- Debug protocol-level issues (pairing, bonding, encryption, authentication).
- Implement fixes and optimizations in middleware, service layers, or adaptation modules.
- Work with Audio/DSP teams to integrate BT audio (SCO/eSCO, A2DP) paths with infotainment pipelines.
System Integration
- Ensure smooth coexistence of Bluetooth with Wi-Fi, LTE/5G, and GNSS modules.
- Integrate Bluetooth features with applications such as Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Alexa Auto, and OEM-specific apps.
- Support OTA update mechanisms for Bluetooth features and ensure backward compatibility.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of Bluetooth Core specifications (v4.2, v5.0 and above).
- Hands-on experience with Bluetooth profiles: HFP, A2DP/AVRCP, PBAP, MAP, GATT, HID.
- Proficiency with Bluetooth protocol analyzers (Ellisys, Frontline, Teledyne LeCroy).
- Familiarity with Android Bluedroid/Fluoride stack, QNX BT stack, or Linux BlueZ.
- Debugging tools: logcat, adb, QXDM, QCAT, Wireshark.
- Audio path integration knowledge: SCO/eSCO, LC3 codec, ACDB/DSP routing.
