Amazon Customer Excellence Services (ACES) is seeking a highly motivated Finance Six Sigma Black Belt to lead enterprise-wide process excellence initiatives across Finance Global Business Services (FGBS). This role will partner with Finance Operations, Business Analytics, Learning & Development, and business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact process improvements that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, quality, and cost optimization.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, Finance Operations, and change management, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional transformation programs, mentor teams, and influence senior stakeholders. This role requires a data-driven leader who can translate business challenges into scalable solutions while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

- Partner with Finance, Business Analytics, Learning & Development, Operations, and Business Partners to define and execute strategic process improvement initiatives.
- Align local and global ACES priorities with FGBS business objectives.
- Build strong partnerships with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and drive sustainable business outcomes.

Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Lead complex Lean Six Sigma Black Belt projects utilizing DMAIC, Lean, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Gemba Walks, and Process Standardization.
- Identify operational bottlenecks using data analytics and performance metrics to drive measurable improvements in productivity, quality, cost, and customer experience.
- Conduct process assessments and prioritization workshops to develop an impactful continuous improvement roadmap.




- Drive replication of best practices and "Just Do It" (JDI) initiatives across teams.

Project & Program Management
- Lead multiple improvement initiatives simultaneously while ensuring timely execution and measurable business advantages.
- Define project charters, monitor milestones, mitigate risks, and communicate progress to senior leadership.
- Develop executive-level dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track project health and realized benefits.

Coaching & Capability Building
- Mentor Green Belts and project teams through the DMAIC lifecycle.
- Deliver classroom and hands-on training on Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, FMEA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Champion a culture of operational excellence through coaching, knowledge sharing, and best-practice adoption.

Problem Solving & Innovation
- Investigate complex operational issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Design scalable, customer-centric solutions that improve operational performance and reduce process variation.
- Leverage automation, analytics, and digital solutions where appropriate to enhance efficiency and eliminate waste.

A Day in the Life
- Lead strategic Lean Six Sigma Black Belt projects from initiation through implementation.
- Mentor Belt projects and support continuous improvement initiatives across Finance Operations.
- Conduct Gemba Walks to identify process pain points and improvement opportunities.
- Analyze operational metrics to identify trends and recommend optimization strategies.
- Facilitate Kaizen workshops, stakeholder reviews, and project governance meetings.
- Deliver Lean Six Sigma training sessions and mentor project teams.




- Collaborate with business leaders to prioritize initiatives based on customer impact and business value.

About the Team Finance Global Business Services (FGBS) ACES is Amazon's global process excellence organization dedicated to driving operational transformation across Finance Operations. The team consists of Black Belts, Master Black Belts, Lean experts, data specialists, and automation professionals operating across nine countries.

The team supports Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Advertising, AWS, Healthcare, Stores, Tax, Treasury, Transportation, and other Amazon business verticals by delivering data-driven improvements, process innovation, automation, and scalable operational solutions that improve customer experience while reducing cost and operational complexity.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Operations, Business, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience leading Lean Six Sigma, Process Excellence, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence initiatives.
- 3+ years of program or project management experience.
- Demonstrated experience applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, Kaizen, FMEA, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis).
- Experience using data, metrics, and analytics to identify improvement opportunities and measure business impact.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (ASQ, IASSC, or equivalent).
- Experience in Finance Operations, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Order-to-Cash (O2C), or Record-to-Report (R2R).
- Experience mentoring Belt projects and delivering Lean Six Sigma training.
- Experience with process automation, Power BI, SQL, process mining, or workflow automation tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead organizational change across multiple teams.
