Role & responsibilities
Core Skills We're Looking For
Strong experience with Amazon Redshift (Snowflake or Google BigQuery experience is also valued)
Advanced SQL with expertise in performance tuning and query optimization
Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and Dimensional Modeling (Star & Snowflake Schemas)
Hands-on experience with Python for data engineering and automation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience with Git-based CI/CD (GitHub/GitLab)
Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, GitLab
Preferred candidate profile
Duo, Gemini, ChatGPT, or similar
Bonus Points If You Have
Apache Airflow, Mage, or other workflow orchestration tools
AWS Services: S3, RDS PostgreSQL, IAM
dbt experience
Production data pipeline monitoring, support, and troubleshooting
Required Skills
- Strong experience in AWS Data Engineering services such as AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift, EMR, Athena, and CloudWatch.
- Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL.
- Valuable understanding of Data Warehouse and Data Lake architectures.
- Experience building batch and/or real-time data pipelines.
- Knowledge of data modeling, performance tuning, and data integration best practices.
- Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps practices, and version control systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certification(s) preferred.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Exposure to modern analytics platforms and reporting solutions.
