- Set up and operate VMC machines for aerospace parts production.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD/CAM data, and process sheets.
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
- Monitor machining processes to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Quality Assurance
- Conduct first-off inspection and in-process checks using gauges, micrometers, and CMM.
- Ensure adherence to aerospace quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP).
- Document inspection results and maintain traceability records.
- Maintenance & Safety
- Perform routine machine checks and basic preventive maintenance.
- Report machine malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance teams.
- Follow strict safety protocols and 5S practices on the shop floor.
- Continuous Improvement
- Suggest process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce cycle time.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors for tooling optimization.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
- 24 years of experience operating VMC machines in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
- Robust knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc/Siemens).
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T; and aerospace drawings.
- Familiarity with aerospace materials (aluminum alloys, titanium, composites).
- Basic knowledge of CAM software preferred.
