Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative and marketable clothing collections for the Indian market, considering current trends and brand identity.
- Translate design concepts into sketches, technical drawings, and mood boards.
- Source and select high-quality fabrics, trims, and embellishments based on design specifications and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with patternmakers and sample makers to ensure designs are translated accurately into physical garments.
- Oversee the sampling process, providing feedback and making necessary adjustments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in the fashion industry, preferably with a global brand.
- Strong understanding of the design process, from concept to production.
- Positive sketching and technical drawing skills.
- In-depth knowledge of fabrics, trims, and construction techniques.
- Passion for Indian fashion and a keen eye for detail.
