- Manage and maintain backup and storage infrastructure, primarily using Tandberg data tools.
- Perform daily backup operations, monitoring, and validation of data integrity and restore procedures.
- Schedule and execute periodic backups and ensure adherence to backup policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backup failures, hardware issues, and data restore requests.
- Monitor storage utilization, perform capacity planning, and recommend upgrades when necessary.
- Maintain and document backup configuration, recovery procedures, and DR policies.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support server and database backup requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company data retention and protection policies.
Technical Skills Required:
- Hands-on experience with Tandberg backup solutions.
- Valuable knowledge of tape libraries, disk storage systems, and backup software.
- Familiarity with storage protocols: NAS, SAN, iSCSI, RAID.
- Experience with Windows/Linux servers and basic scripting (PowerShell or Shell).
- Understanding of Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and implementation.
- Knowledge of data security, encryption, and retention compliance.
