NJob Description – Assistant Vice President (AVP) – Product Control, Securitized Products
NBusiness Coverage: Global Securitized Products / Fixed Income Businesses
NWe are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Vice President to join the Product Control team supporting the Global Securitized Products business. The role will be responsible for daily P&L; production, balance sheet substantiation, valuation controls, inventory analysis, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with Front Office, Operations, Balance Sheet control, Valuation Control, Regulatory Reporting, Audit, Technology and other Finance stakeholders across multiple regions.

NKey Responsibilities
nDaily P&L; and Financial Control
N
n
- Own and review and explain P&L; movements, including flash versus formal P&L; differences and lifecycle P&L; events for securitized products businesses.
N
- Analyze and explain daily inventory changes, investigations, funding impacts,
mark-to-market movements, and risk sensitivities.
N
- Deliver clear and concise P&L; commentary to senior management and trading desks.
N
- Prepare and review valuation adjustments, reserves, and inventory-related adjustments.
N
- Ensure accurate month-end and quarter-end financial reporting and sign-off.
N
nBalance Sheet and Inventory Control
N
n
- Perform daily andmonthly balance sheet substantiation including other assets and other liabilities.
N
- Review inventory positions and investigate unexplained movements.
N
- Analyze inventory adjustments and valuation changes.
N
- Support Level 3 asset reporting and fair value disclosures.
N
- Ensure consistency between front-office systems, subledgers, and the general ledger.
N
nReconciliations and Reporting
N
n
- Ensure general Ledger substantiation for P&L; and Balane sheet items.
N
- Ensure completeness andaccuracy of financial reporting
N
- Prepare management dashboards and control reports.
N
- Support regulatory, audit, and governance reporting requirements.
N
nProcess Improvement and Automation
N
n
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen controls.
N
- Partner with Technologyteams to enhance reporting infrastructure.
N
- Participate in UAT testing and implementation of system enhancements.
N
- Support automation initiatives utilizing reporting and finance platforms.
N
nStakeholder Management
N
n
- Liaise with Trading, Operations, Risk, Treasury, Accounting, FP&A;, and Technology teams.
N
- Escalate control issueson a timely basis.
N
nRequired Qualifications
NEducation
n
n
- Bachelor's degree in finance / accounting, or a related discipline.
N
- CA / CPA / CFA / MBA preferred.
N
nExperience
n
N
- 8–10 years of experience in Product Control, Financial Control, Valuation Control, Risk, Treasury, or Capital Markets Finance.
N
- Experience supporting Fixed Income, Structured Products, Credit Products, ABS, MBS, CLOs, Loans, or Securitized Products is preferred.
N
- Strong understanding of:

nTechnical Skills

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

- Knowledge of SQL, PowerBI, Alteryx, Python, or similar tools is an advantage.

nPreferred Candidate Profile

- Product Control experience within an Investment Bank.

- Experience supporting Fixed Income or Securitized Products desks.

- Demonstrated experiencedriving process improvements.

- Comfortable interactingdirectly with Front Office trading personnel and senior Finance management.
