Site Incharge / Assistant Manager

Role : Apex Infralink Ltd.

Contract : 1-year renewable contract (long-term project; renewed annually)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Mechanical Piping Fabrication Site Incharge to supervise and manage piping fabrication and erection activities at project site in Sohar, Oman. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, manpower handling capability, and experience in execution of piping fabrication works as per project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily piping fabrication, fit-up, erection, and installation activities at site.
- Coordinate with client, consultants, QA/QC team, and project management for smooth execution of work.
- Ensure fabrication activities are carried out as per approved drawings, ISOMETRIC drawings, P&ID;, and project specifications.
- Monitor productivity of welders, fitters, fabricators, and subcontract manpower.
- Plan and allocate manpower, tools, tackles, and materials as per site requirements.
- Ensure proper implementation of welding procedures and quality standards.
- Coordinate with QA/QC department for inspections, hydro testing, and documentation activities.
- Maintain daily progress reports, manpower reports, and work completion records.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE and client safety regulations at site.




- Identify and resolve site execution issues to avoid delays in project schedule.
- Coordinate with stores and procurement team for timely availability of materials and consumables.
- Attend client meetings and progress review meetings whenever required.
- Ensure completion of work within target schedule and quality standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 8-15 years of experience in piping fabrication and erection works in industrial projects.
- Gulf experience, especially in Oman / Middle East projects, will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of piping drawings, spool fabrication, welding activities, and erection procedures.
- Experience in refinery, steel plant, petrochemical, fertilizer, or power plant projects preferred.
- Good leadership and manpower handling skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve project targets.
- Knowledge of safety standards and quality procedures.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
