We are seeking a Principal Engineer- HVAC(Building Engineering) to join our B+P team in India. This is an exciting prospect for a motivated engineer to contribute to impactful B+P projects across global offices and continue developing their technical expertise in a supportive, high-performing team.
Here is what you will do:
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings
- Prepares technical specification sections
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements
- Leads HVAC system design for complex commercial, residential, and data center projects
- Conducts energy modeling and analysis to optimize HVAC system performance
- Collaborates with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
- Develops and implements sustainable design strategies to meet energy efficiency goals
- Oversees the selection and sizing of HVAC equipment and components
- Ensures compliance with local building codes, ASHRAE standards, and other relevant regulations
- Mentors junior engineers and provides technical guidance to the HVAC design team
- Participates in client meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts and solutions
- Conducts site visits to assess existing conditions and verify installation of HVAC systems Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following Qualifications:
- Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in retail and hospitality medium to large projects.
- Should be well versed with ASHRAE/CIBSE/NFPA standards and regulations.
- Should have experience in commercial, residential, datacenter, and infrastructure projects from different geographies - USA, Canada, ANZ Region.
- Experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer - Specialized in HVAC Design.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar BIM tools.
- Strong knowledge of energy modeling software (e.g., eQUEST, EnergyPlus, or IES-VE).
