Senior Engineer/AM(Manufacturing Engineering)

Qualification: B tech Mechanical/ Electrical with 3-8 years

Job Purpose:

Manufacturing Engineering covers product development, process design and efficiency improvement through Lean and Six Sigma principles.

It ensures accurate BOM and data management, safe and ergonomic facility layouts, and optimized material flow using value stream mapping.

The function focuses on storage optimization, problem-solving culture, and collaboration with stakeholders while driving continuous improvement and developing future ready teams. Planning and Executing Product Development

- Define requirements & safety standards
- Develop engineering system (concept to manufacturing)
- Coordinate with Technology partner & BD team for prototype built & test (ballistic, environmental)
- Secure supply chain & traceability for new product development
- Manage risks (storage, transport)
- Control all product drawings and revisions aligned with Technology partner ,BD team and with all internal stake holders(Engineering Change note-ECN)
- Coordinate with technology partners & BD team for any current requirement & do the manufacturing feasibility and implement the necessary changes. Manufacturing Process Development
- Validate existing processes for quality & safety
- Responsible for technical finalization of all Machine,



fixtures ,Material handling & storage system ,DAP finalization ,Coordinate with vendor during development ,conduct trial during development & PDI .

Manufacturing Engineering: Core Functions & Strategic Focus

- Ensure all readiness for installation & commissioning of all machines & daily wise tracking and plan to complete the commissioning within timeline
- Optimize cycle time & reduce bottlenecks
- Introduce precision inspection & testing systems
- Track and manage for all plant level capex investments for improvement projects .
- Accountable for Create & Control the Engineering BOM and Manufacturing BOM in SAP.
- Accountable for create & control material master & Routing for all products in SAP for cost run.
- Control all tool ,Jigs, Fixture drawings and revisions aligned with Technology partner ,BD team and with all internal stake holders(Engineering change Note-ECN)
- Create & Control all Standard operating procedures(SOP),FMEA throughout the plant(Process Change note-PCN)
- Working with MES team for the implementation of MES
- Apply Six Sigma & Lean principles for waste reduction
- Facility & Line Layout Design
- Design layouts for safety & ergonomics
- Optimize material flow & minimize handling
- Ensure compliance with defence & environmental norms
- Allocate space for inspection & testing zones
- Integrate lean principles for efficiency
- Plan for scalability & future upgrades LEAN Manufacturing Practices
- Identify and eliminate waste in processes
- Implement 5S for workplace organization
- Apply Kaizen for continuous improvement
