About the Role

Airtel Africa is looking for a highly skilled Atlassian Administrator with 6+ years of experience to manage and optimize our Atlassian ecosystem. This role offers an opportunity to work with enterprise-scale Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Rovo platforms, driving collaboration, automation, governance, and operational excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and support Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence, Bitbucket, and Rovo in Data Center and Cloud environments.

- Configure and maintain projects, workflows, issue types, screens, permission schemes, and notifications.

- Manage Confluence spaces, templates, knowledge repositories, and content governance.

- Administer Bitbucket repositories, branching strategies, access controls, and Git integrations.

- Implement and support integrations across Atlassian tools and third-party applications.

- Perform platform monitoring, health checks, upgrades, patching, backups, and performance tuning.

- Troubleshoot platform issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and coordinate with vendors for resolution.





- Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and developer productivity.

- Support SSO, LDAP/Active Directory integration, security configurations, and compliance requirements.

- Contribute to CI/CD integration and DevOps initiatives using tools such as Jenkins.

- Maintain platform documentation, operational runbooks, and governance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6+ years of experience in Atlassian administration.

- Hands-on expertise with Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Rovo.

- Experience with Atlassian Data Center and/or Cloud environments.

- Strong understanding of Git, repository management, and access controls.

- Knowledge of automation, scripting, and Atlassian integrations.

- Experience with SSO, LDAP/AD, security, and identity management.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
