- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Medical Surgical Nursing.
- Develop creative teaching-learning strategies using competency-based education.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, practical demonstrations, and assessment tools.
- Guide students during classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning.
Clinical Education
- Supervise clinical postings in medical, surgical, critical care, emergency, and specialty units.
- Strengthen students' clinical decision-making, patient safety, and evidence-based nursing practice.
- Coordinate with affiliated hospitals for effective clinical training.
Research & Publications
- Guide postgraduate dissertations and research projects.
- Publish research papers in peer-reviewed/indexed journals.
- Promote interdisciplinary and funded research.
- Participate in conferences, workshops, and continuing nursing education (CNE) programmes.
Academic Administration
- Participate in curriculum planning, examination processes, accreditation, and quality assurance.
- Mentor junior faculty members and students.
- Assist in NAAC, INC, and other statutory compliance activities.
- Undertake departmental administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred candidate profile:
Experience:
For- Professor
- At least 15 years of teaching experience after M.Sc. Nursing, with at least 7 years as Associate Professor or equivalent in a recognized College of Nursing.
- Experience in postgraduate teaching, research supervision, and academic administration is desirable.
For- Associate Professor
- Minimum 9 years of teaching experience after M.Sc. Nursing, including experience as Assistant Professor/Lecturer in a recognized College of Nursing.
- Experience in postgraduate teaching and research is preferred.
Educational Qualification: For-Professor
- Ph.D. in Nursing (Preferred/Desirable as per institutional and UGC requirements).
- M.Sc. Nursing with specialization in Medical Surgical Nursing from an INC-recognized institution.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) & Registered Midwife (RM) registration with the State Nursing Council.
For-Associate Professor
- M.Sc. Nursing with specialization in Medical Surgical Nursing from an INC-recognized institution.
- Ph.D. in Nursing will be preferred.
- Valid RN & RM registration with the State Nursing Council.
