Role Description The Associate Professor of Computer Science role at Amity University is a full-time, in office position based in Ranchi. The role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in core Computer Science and related areas, using contemporary pedagogical approaches and relevant technology.

The Associate

Professor will supervise student projects and theses, guide research initiatives, and contribute to the development of a robust research culture within the department.

Responsibilities include participation in curriculum development, evaluation and assessment of students, mentoring,



and academic advising. The role also involves engaging with industry and academic partners, contributing to departmental administration, and supporting university initiatives that enhance student experience and academic quality.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Computer Science, with the ability to teach core and advanced topics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Expertise in Programming and practical software development, including experience with modern programming languages and tools.

Knowledge and teaching or research experience in Data Science, including data analytics, machine learning, or related areas.

Specialization or substantial experience in Cybersecurity, with the ability to integrate security concepts into teaching and research.

Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessment methods aligned with academic standards.

Doctoral degree (PhD) in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.

Evidence of quality research output through publications, funded projects, or collaborations, preferably in reputed journals or conferences.

Demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching, mentoring, and academic advising, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary academic environment and engage with industry and research partners.
