The firm's practice includes domestic and international arbitrations under leading institutional rules, including SIAC, ICC, LCIA, AAA-ICDR, and UNCITRAL, together with all related court proceedings. The Associate will work closely with the Partner and the disputes team on international and domestic arbitrations, commercial litigation, and investigations.
Key Responsibilities include
- Draft pleadings, written submissions, legal opinions, and other case-related documents.
- Conduct legal research on Indian and foreign laws, arbitral rules, and jurisprudence.
- Assist in developing case strategy for hearings, trials, and settlement discussions.
- Review, analyze, and organize documentary and witness evidence.
- Prepare hearing bundles, chronologies, and procedural documents.
- Coordinate with clients, experts, co-counsel, and external stakeholders.
- Attend court proceedings, arbitral hearings, and client meetings as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strictly 3–5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE). Applications from fresh graduates or candidates not meeting this criteria will not be considered.
- LL.B. from a recognized university and enrollment with a State Bar Council.
- An LL.M., particularly in Arbitration, Commercial Law, or International Dispute Resolution, is strongly preferred. Candidates holding an LL.M. are encouraged to highlight their specialization and relevant academic achievements in both the application form and their CV.
- Demonstrated experience in arbitration, commercial litigation, and/or investigations.
- Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively under deadlines.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong professional ethics.
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, and overall suitability for the role, and will be in line with prevailing industry standards.
