YourNest is seeking to strengthen its Portfolio management and growth team and is hiring an "Associate - Investment Management" to join its journey to nurture success for DeepTech startups. The role is ideal for someone who can spot a diamond in the rough and polish it to create value. What Problem Will You Solve?

What will you be responsible for?

As an integral member of the investment team, your success determines the success of our portfolio companies. The role is multi-dimensional and includes:

● Portfolio Value Creation and Growth - Accelerate portcos’ growth and success by providing strategic guidance, operational support, and access to relevant networks, including focusing on CPR (Capital, People, Revenue)



to help founders achieve product-market fit (PMF), scalable go-to-market (GTM) strategies, revenue growth, and ultimately higher valuations. Execute growth charter across organisational dimensions. Thinking through and enabling Strategic Partnerships & Identifying Recent Market Opportunities.

● Deal Execution and Compliance Excellence: Execute venture investments (from term sheets to SHAs to closure) efficiently. Protect YourNest’s interests while ensuring fairness, preventing issues, and building trust through transparent communication. Conduct an in-depth evaluation and due diligence while presenting an investment case.

● Portfolio Performance, Governance & Risk Management: Oversee portfolio company performance and compliance with discipline and foresight, throughout the investment lifecycle. Maintain a financial repository around triggers for fundraising, such as cash burn and valuations. Ensuring zero-lapse compliance across regulatory, tax, ROC, ESG filings, board minutes, and investment documentation.

● Financial Judgement and Strategic Analysis: Conduct rigorous financial analysis and strategic thinking to evaluate investment decisions, portfolio actions, and fund-level outcomes.

● Founder & Ecosystem Relationship Management: Build and sustain high-trust relationships with founders and ecosystem stakeholders to unlock opportunities for portfolio growth, fundraising, and exits. This includes being a reliable partner to founders and actively engaging with co-investors, downstream funds,



and strategic partners to strengthen YourNest’s network and reputation.

● Shareholder Rights & Legal Controls: As a minority shareholder, we protect the investor’s interests by exercising our rights.

● Exit Strategy and Execution: Strategically plan and execute exits that maximise value for founders and the fund. Keep the end in mind from the start and drive the fund towards optimal value. And ensuring complete compliance with regulatory and legal aspects of a sale transaction.

What skills and qualifications must you have?

Structured knowledge in technology (BTech/ MTech) or a deep interest in the subject, finance and/or venture capital (perhaps you are amid a CFA course) will definitely give you an edge.

And a minimum of four years of hands-on experience in the PE/VC industry, or the VC-funded startups’ founder office, or have been a core team member of a startup. The core principle being you have worked on outcomes and experienced the results of your decisions.
