Summary UST is looking for an experienced SQL ETL Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, ETL/ELT development, T-SQL, and data integration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data pipelines, data migration solutions, and ETL processes to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. This role requires hands-on experience in SQL performance tuning, data modeling, file transfer automation, and modern data engineering best practices.
The Opportunity Key
Roles & Responsibilities Design and develop general and detailed technical design specifications for moderate to complex data integration solutions.
Assist in migrating and integrating data and business processes from legacy systems to modern applications and platforms.
Develop, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server objects, including:
SQL Scripts
Stored Procedures
Functions
Triggers
Views
Build scalable ETL/ELT solutions for data ingestion, transformation, cleansing, validation, and distribution.
Design and implement enterprise data pipelines following data engineering and analytics best practices.
Develop data models and support near real-time data processing solutions.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, exception handling, and quality checks during data load processes.
Optimize ETL package execution and SQL query performance for large-scale data processing.
Design ETL workflows involving
File Transfers
FTP/SFTP Integration
Secure Data Exchange
Import and export files using FTP and SFTP protocols.
Debug, troubleshoot, and tune ETL processes to ensure effective, reliable, and accurate data movement.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Architects, Developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and support documents for ETL processes.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Need Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, including:

Strong experience in designing and developing ETL/ELT solutions.
Experience with data migration, data integration, and legacy system modernization.
Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL best practices.
Experience implementing data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling processes.
Strong SQL performance tuning and query optimization skills.
Experience working with FTP and SFTP for secure file transfers.
Experience designing automated data exchange workflows.
Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
Experience working in Agile software development environments.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Desired Skills Experience with SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Talend, or other ETL tools.
Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other Business Intelligence tools.
Exposure to real-time or streaming data technologies.
Knowledge of version control tools such as Git.
Qualification
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience in enterprise data integration and SQL development projects is preferred.
Experience 5+ years of experience in SQL Development, ETL/ELT, and enterprise data integration.
Proven experience developing scalable data pipelines and optimizing SQL Server-based applications.
Experience supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, and data migration initiatives.
