About Team

Catalog Engineering team is at the forefront of building core platforms and services to enable Walmart to deliver vast selection at competitive prices and with best-in-class item setup post-order experience by enabling third-party sellers/suppliers to list, sell and manage their products to our customers on walmart.com and at Walmart Stores. We do this by becoming the single source of truth from Catalog Item information by collating the data concepts from various sources. This platform deals with very high volume of data.

What You ll Do:

- Design, development, implementation and documentation for product features for Brand and Taxonomy domain in retail.
- Build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide.
- Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
- Engage with Product Management to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
- You will be contributing in both front end as well as back end stack and taking care of requirement from end to end development
- Work closely with the Architects and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost Delivery). Within the established architectural guidelines.

What You ll bring:

- B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science or relevant discipline.
- 6-8 years of experience in design and development of highly-scalable applications and platform development.
- Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
- Having proficiency in object oriented language like Java
- Having proficiency in front end technologies like React, NodeJS
- Good knowledge of Cloud Architecture, Microservice, NoSQL, RDBMS,GCP, Azure
- CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins.
- Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology.
