To drive research and development of new products in organic and specialty chemistry by designing and executing synthetic routes, performing laboratory experiments, and supporting scale-up from laboratory to commercial production, thereby contributing to innovation and business growth.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Research Product Development
- Design and execute multi-step organic synthesis processes to develop new chemical intermediates and products.
- Develop innovative synthetic methodologies to enhance product portfolio and competitive advantage.
2. Experimental Execution Analysis
- Conduct laboratory experiments and analyze data to ensure product feasibility, quality, and reproducibility.
- Apply modern synthetic techniques to produce structurally complex chemical compounds effectively.
3. Process Scale-Up Commercialization
- Support scale-up activities from lab to pilot and commercial levels to enable successful manufacturing of new molecules.
- Collaborate with plant teams during commission to ensure smooth technology transfer.
4. Quality, Compliance Documentation
- Ensure product purity and adherence to quality standards to meet regulatory and internal requirements.
- Document experimental procedures, reports, and findings to maintain knowledge repository and IP protection.
5. Continuous Improvement Collaboration
- Identify process improvements and innovation opportunities to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve RD and business objectives effectively.

Knowledge
Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. / M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry
Work Experience
- 5-7 years of industrial experience in multi-step organic synthesis and process implementation
- Experience in pharmaceutical / agrochemical industry preferred
Specialist Skill / Niche Experience- Research Chemist experience.
Functional Competencies
- Expertise in synthetic organic chemistry and new product research
- Strong knowledge of spectral interpretation (GC, LC, MS, NMR)
