Knack RCM is seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director Physician Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to lead large-scale Physician RCM operations across multiple specialties and client portfolios.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, revenue enhancement, client satisfaction, compliance, process transformation, and people development while ensuring the achievement of key financial and operational objectives.

The role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in Physician Billing, Accounts Receivable (AR), Denial Management, Payment Posting, Client Management, and Operational Leadership.

Role & responsibilities

Operations Leadership

- Lead end-to-end Physician Revenue Cycle Management operations.
- Manage large teams across Billing, AR, Denial Management, Payment Posting, and Quality functions.
- Ensure achievement of client SLAs, KPIs, productivity, utilization, and financial targets.
- Drive workforce planning, resource optimization, and capacity management.
- Develop and execute strategic operational initiatives.

Revenue Cycle Management

Billing Operations

- Oversee physician billing operations across multiple specialties.
- Ensure timely claim submission and clean claim generation.
- Monitor billing accuracy and productivity.
- Drive reduction in claim rejections and front-end errors.

Accounts Receivable Management

- Lead AR follow-up operations across Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care payers.
- Improve collection performance and reduce AR aging.




- Ensure timely resolution of outstanding claims and payment delays.

Denial Management

- Analyze denial trends and identify root causes.
- Implement payer-specific denial prevention and recovery strategies.
- Improve appeal success rates and denial recovery.

Payment Posting

- Ensure accurate and timely payment posting and reconciliation.
- Identify underpayments and revenue leakage opportunities.

Client Relationship Management

- Act as the primary escalation point for strategic clients.
- Conduct Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBRs/QBRs).
- Present operational performance, collections, and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure high client satisfaction and retention.
- Support recent client implementations and business expansion opportunities.

Quality & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and payer guidelines.
- Drive quality assurance and process audit initiatives.
- Monitor quality scores and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare billing regulations and compliance standards.

Financial Management

- Drive revenue maximization and collection improvement.
- Monitor operational profitability and cost efficiency.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance metrics.




- Identify automation and process improvement opportunities to improve margins.

Leadership & Talent Development

- Lead Managers, Assistant Managers, Team Leads, and Operations teams.
- Develop succession planning and talent management programs.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and leadership development initiatives.
- Conduct performance reviews and coaching sessions.

Process Excellence & Transformation

- Lead automation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Implement Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement programs.
- Drive workflow optimization and productivity enhancement.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve operational effectiveness.

Business Development Support

- Support RFP responses and client solutioning initiatives.
- Participate in client presentations and capability discussions.
- Provide operational inputs for new business opportunities and expansion plans

Preferred candidate profile

Mandatory Requirements

12+ years of experience in US Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management.

Strong experience in Physician Billing Operations.

Proven experience managing large-scale RCM operations and leadership teams.
