QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

- Be an active member of an Agile Scrum team comprising technical, functional, and business domain experts to develop consumer-facing web and mobile applications.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including:
- Daily Stand-ups
- Sprint Planning
- Backlog Refinement
- Sprint Reviews
- Sprint Retrospectives

- Collaborate with Product Owners (Internal/External), Business Analysts, and Development Teams to groom the product backlog and provide testing-related insights on strategy, scope, effort, risks, and dependencies.
- Design and execute comprehensive test cases and document test results as part of the QA delivery process.
- Perform various types of testing, including:

- Component Testing
- Integration Testing
- Smoke Testing
- Regression Testing
- Exploratory Testing
- Performance Testing

- Facilitate and contribute to customer communications focused on clarifying requirements and gathering product feedback.
- Generate and maintain reports related to software quality and delivery metrics for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing practices, team processes, and overall quality assurance activities.




- Investigate and help resolve functional production issues in accordance with established team guidelines and procedures.
- Promote a culture of quality excellence and customer-centricity within the Scrum team.
- Collaborate closely with Development and Business Analysis teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support team growth by training, mentoring, and assisting team members on QA best practices and processes.

About the Ideal Candidate

Education

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience

- Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Software Quality Assurance
- Software Development
- Business Analysis
- Systems Analysis
- Similar technology-focused roles

- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Sufficient technical knowledge to effectively collaborate with software developers and other technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with web and/or mobile application testing.
- Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Passion for delivering high-quality software and exceptional customer experiences.
