NKey Responsibilities

- Teach undergraduate andpostgraduate courses in Pattern Making, Garment Construction, Draping, Apparel Manufacturing, and related subjects.

- Develop course content,lesson plans, and practical studio exercises aligned with industry standards.
N
- Conduct practical demonstrations and supervise pattern development, garment construction, and fitting sessions.
N
- Mentor students in academic projects, portfolio development, competitions, and internships.
N
- Engage in curriculum development, research, innovation, and industry collaborations.
N
- Participate in departmental activities, accreditation processes, and institutional initiatives.
N

nEssential Qualifications

N

n
- Master's Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Fashion Technology,



Costume Design, or a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
N
- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design/Fashion Technology/Apparel Design or an allied field.
N
- NET/Ph.D. will be preferred as per UGC/AICTE/University norms (where applicable).

nRequired Skills

N

n
- Strong expertise in flat pattern making, draping, garment construction techniques, grading, and apparel production.
N
- Hands-on experience with industrial sewing machines and garment finishing techniques.
N
- Knowledge of textile properties, garment fitting, quality standards, and production processes.
N
- Proficiency in pattern-making software such as Gerber, Lectra, TUKAcad, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
N
- Positive communication, mentoring, and presentation skills.

nExperience

- 0–5 years of teaching, industry, or research experience in Pattern Making and Garment Construction.
N
- Candidates with relevant industrial experience in apparel manufacturing or fashion production are encouraged to apply.
