Position

Overview

The University invites applications from qualified, motivated, and academically driven candidates for the post of Assistant Professor (English). The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, curriculum development, student mentoring, and academic administration in accordance with UGC norms and University policies. Roles & Responsibilities:

- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in English Literature, English Language, and allied subjects as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, assignments, and assessments in accordance with UGC/NEP guidelines.
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic planning.
- Pursue quality research and publish research papers in reputed journals.




- Mentor students for academic excellence, research aptitude, and career development.
- Participate in seminars, workshops, conferences, Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), and extension activities.
- Assist in departmental administration, accreditation activities, and other academic responsibilities assigned by the University.

Eligibility

Criteria (As per UGC Norms):

- Master's Degree in English from a recognized University.
- UGC NET qualification is mandatory (or exemption as per UGC Regulations, wherever applicable).
- Ph.D. in English must be currently pursuing from a recognized University.
- Preference will be given to candidates with relevant teaching and/or research university or College.
- Evidence of research publications and participation in academic activities will be an added advantage.
