Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor of Computer Science, based at Amity University’s Ranchi campus. The faculty member will design, deliver, and update undergraduate and postgraduate computer science courses, including lectures, tutorials, labs, and project supervision. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing course materials, assessing student performance, providing academic advising and mentoring, and maintaining high standards of classroom engagement and inclusivity.

The role also involves conducting and publishing research, seeking research funding,



and contributing to curriculum development aligned with emerging technologies and industry needs. Additional responsibilities include participating in departmental committees, accreditation activities, outreach, and collaboration with industry and other academic institutions to enhance the learning environment.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess solid teaching skills, including Assistant Teaching and Education, with demonstrated ability to facilitate learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear instructional delivery, academic writing, and effective interaction with students and colleagues.

Candidates should possess solid subject knowledge and analytical abilities, including Mathematics, core Computer Science fundamentals, and related technical domains.

Candidates should possess skills in Working With Children and young adults, fostering an inclusive, respectful, and motivating classroom environment.

PhD or at least a postgraduate degree (M.Tech/M.S/M.Sc/MCA) in Computer Science or a closely related field from a recognized institution.

Evidence of research activity, such as publications in reputable journals or conferences, and interest in developing funded research projects.

Experience with modern teaching tools and methods, such as learning management systems, blended learning, and outcome-based education practices.

Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, contribute to departmental administration, and support university outreach and industry engagement initiatives.
