Job Purpose:

- The Utility Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and reliability of all plant utility systems to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The role focuses on maximizing equipment uptime, optimizing energy consumption, ensuring statutory compliance, and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance practices. maintenance practices.

Qualifications:

- B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- 810 years of relevant experience in utility maintenance and electrical operations in manufacturing/industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate, monitor, and maintain plant utility systems, including DG sets, boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, chillers, HVAC systems, WTP, ETP, and transformers.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of utilities such as power, compressed air, chilled water, cooling water, steam, and treated water to support production.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Monitor utility equipment performance and initiate corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Supervise the operation and maintenance of electrical distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, and utility control panels.
- Maintain optimal operating parameters for boilers, chillers,



cooling towers, air compressors, WTP, and ETP to ensure safe and efficient performance.
- Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, environmental regulations, pollution control norms, and statutory requirements related to utility operations.
- Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and service providers for annual maintenance contracts (AMC), repairs, inspections, and statutory audits.
- Maintain utility operation logs, maintenance records, calibration reports, and statutory documentation.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for utility failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support installation, commissioning, capacity enhancement, and continuous improvement projects for utility systems.
- Ensure adequate inventory of critical spares and consumables for uninterrupted utility operations.
- Lead and mentor technicians and maintenance personnel while promoting a strong safety culture and operational excellence.

Preferred Competencies:

- Hands-on expertise in DG, Boiler, Air Compressor, Cooling Tower, Chiller, WTP, ETP, Transformer, and HVAC maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and industrial utilities.
- Experience in energy management and utility cost optimization.
- Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance techniques.
- Familiarity with statutory compliance, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, planning, and team leadership skills.
