- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental (HSE) laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate unsafe conditions and practices.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety procedures, standards, and work instructions.
- Conduct safety induction training for new employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Organize regular safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure availability.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed investigation reports.
- Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, training, audits, and statutory compliance.
- Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for various work activities.
- Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, confined space entry, hot work, lifting operations, and electrical work.
- Ensure emergency preparedness by conducting mock drills and maintaining emergency response plans.
- Coordinate with emergency response teams, medical personnel, and external agencies when required.
- Inspect firefighting equipment, emergency exits, first aid facilities, and other safety systems regularly.
- Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in internal and external safety audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
- Review safety permits and ensure work permit systems are followed correctly.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports for management.
- Assist management in achieving organizational health, safety, and environmental objectives.
- Stop any unsafe work or activity that poses an immediate risk to people, property, or the environment.
- Ensure proper housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the workplace.
- Monitor environmental controls related to waste management, pollution prevention, and spill response where applicable.
- Stay updated with changes in safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Support continuous improvement by recommending measures to enhance workplace safety and reduce operational risks. Requirements o Experience: 2 to 5 Years o Qualification:
- Engineering graduate with two years’ experience and Diploma in Industrial Safety
- Alternatively, Bachelor of Science/ Diploma in Engineering with 5 years’ experience and Diploma in Industrial Safety Benefits
