Role & responsibilities The incumbent is responsible for optimizing the supply chain operations of a company by analyzing data, identifying trends, and making informed decisions to enhance efficiency & reduce costs. This profile will also lead sustainable practices in Distribution by collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, establish goals, and monitor progress toward sustainable initiatives.
1. Cost Analysis:
Analyze transportation costs, warehousing expenses, and other logistics-related expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities
Develop and implement strategies to reduce operational costs while maintaining service quality
Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to location level, business levels, category level for variable distribution costs, fixed distribution costs and other logistics costs
Identify cost trends, patterns, and discrepancies within the data to provide insights into the logistics operations
Generate reports and visualizations to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
Utilize historical data and current trends to develop logistics cost forecast for each product category
Assist in creating logistics & IT procurement plans for distribution in line with future growth and strategies
Take lead in budgeting exercise for all types of ditribution spends (variable distribution cost, fixed distribution cost, CAPEX, IT etc.)
Participate in the development of supply chain budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.
Assist in adjusting strategies to align with financial goals
3. Performance Management:
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate supply chain performance (for distribution)
Track and analyze KPIs to identify areas for improvement and operational efficiency
Provide actionable insights to enhance supply chain processes.
4. Risk Management & Complaince:
Assess supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential disruptions
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business continuity and resilience in the supply chain
Ensure compliance with internal controls within the supply chain
5. Sustainability in Distribution
Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy for distribution that aligns with the company's values and objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into distributin operations and processes
Set explicit sustainability goals, track progress, and prepare regular reports to communicate achievements and recommendations to stakeholders
Research and stay up-to-date on industry best practices, regulations, and trends related to sustainability
Manage sustainability-related projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, planning, execution, and evaluation
Participate in industry events, conferences, and workshops to stay informed about the latest sustainability advancements.
6. Continuous improvement: Support to implementation of Nestl Continuous Excellence in supply chain for zero accident, on problem solving, root cause analysis.
