Role Overview

We are looking for a highly driven Assistant Manager / Manager – Inside Sales to convert qualified inbound leads into business opportunities and closures. The candidate will engage with SME owners, HR teams and corporate decision-makers to understand their requirements and recommend suitable group health insurance and employee benefit solutions.

The role requires strong telephone-based selling, disciplined follow-ups, commercial negotiation and ownership of monthly revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with qualified leads generated through digital campaigns, referrals and partner channels.

Understand the customer’s employee strength, demographics, existing coverage, budget and benefit requirements.

Present suitable Group Health Insurance, Personal Accident, Term Life, OPD and wellness solutions.

Coordinate with insurance and operations teams to obtain quotations and structure competitive proposals.

Explain policy coverage, exclusions, waiting periods, room-rent limits, claim processes and other key terms clearly.

Conduct virtual product demonstrations and proposal discussions with business owners, HR teams and finance heads.

Manage the complete sales cycle—from first contact and needs assessment to negotiation, documentation and closure.

Maintain consistent follow-ups through calls, email, WhatsApp and virtual meetings.

Build a strong sales pipeline and ensure timely movement of opportunities through the CRM.

Achieve monthly targets for premium, revenue, conversions and average ticket size.





Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling and renewal of existing accounts.

Work closely with underwriting, insurer partnerships, operations and customer-success teams.

For the Manager position, guide inside-sales executives, review their pipelines and support them in achieving team targets.

Share regular reports on lead status, conversion performance, customer objections and competitive insights.

Candidate Profile

3–7 years of experience in inside sales, tele sales, B2B sales or insurance distribution.

Experience in group health insurance, employee benefits, general insurance, insurtech, fintech or SaaS would be preferred.

Strong consultative selling, negotiation and objection-handling abilities.

Comfortable engaging with founders, SME owners, HR managers and senior corporate stakeholders.

Ability to understand insurance products and explain complex policy terms in simple language.

Target-oriented, persistent and capable of managing a high-volume sales pipeline.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.

Working knowledge of CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, email and digital communication tools.

IRDAI certification or previous experience with an insurance broker, corporate agent or insurer would be an advantage.

Education

Graduate in any discipline. Postgraduate qualification in Sales, Marketing, Finance or Insurance would be ADDED advantage.
