Role & responsibilities

- Install, configure, customize, and maintain IBM z/OS and ISV software products using SMP/E.
- Perform software maintenance activities, including PTFs, APARs, RSUs, and product upgrades.
- Configure and administer z/OSMF, including REST APIs, to support system automation and modernization initiatives.
- Manage USS/OMVS environments and perform administration using UNIX System Services.
- Utilize Git for version control and source code management of automation scripts and system configurations.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and REXX to improve operational efficiency.
- Design, execute, and document functional, regression, integration, and performance testing for software installations and upgrades.
- Perform installation, customization, and troubleshooting of IBM and third-party ISV products.
- Support z/OS upgrades, migrations,



and system maintenance activities across multiple LPARs.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and vendor teams to resolve technical issues and ensure system stability.
- Analyze system logs, identify root causes, and provide timely resolution for production incidents.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, installation procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in change management, release management, and disaster recovery activities.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and operational standards.
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for production environments and contribute to continuous process improvement.
