Role Summary:
The Manager Commercial is the custodian of commercial discipline, contractual integrity, and cost predictability across Janaadhars precast and institutional projects.
This role sits at the critical intersection of engineering, contracts, and financeensuring that complex technical scopes are converted into controlled costs, protected margins, and dispute-free execution.
The role demands a senior professional who can:
- Own pre-contract strategy and post-contract control
- Institutionalise budgeting, claims, and change management
- Act as the single point of accountability for commercial risk
- Engage confidently with large institutional clients and PMCs
This is not a support role.
This is a commercial leadership position that protects the companys PL while enabling scale.

KRA KPI WEIGHTAGE MATRIX KRA 1: Pre-Contract Commercial Strategy Tendering 25%
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design scope coordination with Architects, Structural MEPF consultants
- Review tender documents, drawings, and BOQs for completeness and risk
- Flag deviations from company standards, codes, and statutory requirements
- Structure tendering strategy, bidder shortlisting, and pre-bid clarifications
- Evaluate commercial clauses (PBG, LD, retention, payment terms)
- Benchmark bids against internal estimates and budgets
- Prepare and issue LOA / Work Orders
KPIs
- Accuracy of tender estimates vs awarded value
- Zero scope ambiguity at contract award
- Timely completion of tendering milestones
- Commercial risk register signed off pre-award
KRA 2: Post-Contract Commercial Control Execution Support 30%
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site-level commercial coordination with clients, PMCs, and contractors
- Own budget tracking, cash-flow planning, and quarterly budget refresh
- Validate and certify RA bills across all disciplines
- Manage variations, claims, and change orders with full documentation
- Support execution teams in sequencing and productivity alignment
- Ensure structured project close-out and handover documentation

- Budget variance within agreed tolerance
- Timely certification of RA bills
- Zero unresolved claims at project closure
- Clean project handovers without commercial disputes
KRA 3: Contracts, Claims Client Commercial Management 20%
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and administer institutional-grade contracts (FIDIC / EPC / MSAs)

- Ensure zero litigation mindset through proactive issue resolution
