As a Mainframe Automation Specialist at Kyndryl, you'll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You'll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients which means some of the biggest in the world.
There's never a typical day as a Mainframe Automation Specialist at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You'll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You'll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 9+ years of experience in Mainframe (z/OS) environments with strong operational and development exposure.
- Expertise in IBM Systems Automation for z/OS (SA z/OS), equivalent to OPS/MVS for automation and event management.
- Strong hands-on experience in OPS/MVS (or SA z/OS) for automated event handling and system operations.
- Experience with Mainframe monitoring tools Omegamon Suite of Products NetView, Tivoli Enterprise Portal (TEP)
- Experience in Automation product upgrades and maintenance, including GDPS upgrades.
- Strong understanding of system operations, automation frameworks, and incident response mechanisms.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Experience in Banking / Financial Services domain environments.
- Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery setups (GDPS environments).
- Experience in large enterprise or global delivery models.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring, capacity planning, and automation optimization.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and automation integration in Mainframe ecosystems.
- Experience in enterprise-wide automation strategy and framework enhancements.
