A leading Germany-headquartered IT services organization is inviting applications from a proactive and technically skilled DevOps Engineer to support, maintain and improve integrated applications and IT infrastructure systems.

The successful candidate will resolve technical incidents, automate routine activities, support cloud and container environments, contribute to CI/CD processes, monitor applications and infrastructure, and collaborate with software-development and operations teams.

The position will report functionally to a Team Leader and administratively to a Location Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Support and Troubleshooting

- Handle, resolve, test, and document technical incidents and service requests of basic and advanced complexity.
- Investigate infrastructure and application issues using internal knowledge bases, technical documentation, and other relevant resources.
- Perform root-cause analysis for recurring problems and implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Monitor supported applications and infrastructure systems and resolve defects within the assigned area.
- Design and document procedures for system troubleshooting, support, and maintenance.
- Deploy and document relevant updates, patches, fixes, and configuration changes.

Automation and DevOps Delivery

- Develop basic technical tools and automation scripts to reduce recurring errors and improve operational efficiency.
- Automate routine tasks related to application deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support.
- Contribute to the development, coding, building, testing, integration, monitoring, and maintenance of integrated solutions.
- Support and improve continuous integration and continuous delivery processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, process efficiency, product quality, and customer experience.
- Propose and implement technical re-engineering and process-improvement measures.

Application and Platform Support

- Support and maintain developed or deployed applications in accordance with technical and operational requirements.
- Develop and integrate software in line with platform, application, and project objectives.
- Write and maintain clean, understandable, and well-documented code.
- Review and analyse code written by colleagues and document relevant functionality.
- Create and execute unit,



integration, and other relevant technical tests.
- Provide basic technical input and effort estimates to solution-development teams in cooperation with senior colleagues.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

- Communicate effectively with software-development, infrastructure, support, and project teams.
- Share technical knowledge and support colleagues when required.
- Contribute to the assessment of technologies relevant to the teams work.
- Continuously improve technical knowledge through training, certifications, self-learning, and practical application.
- Manage assigned activities effectively and communicate when additional support is required.
- Demonstrate a proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach.
- Follow organizational quality standards, security requirements, and established working practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience: At least two to four years of professional experience in software development, application development, DevOps, or IT service environments, including monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting applications and infrastructure systems.

Language Skills: Business-proficient written and verbal English communication skills, at a minimum B2 level or equivalent.

Soft Skills: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and learn unfamiliar technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

- Relevant cloud, DevOps, ITIL, Microsoft, Linux, Kubernetes, or technology-specific certifications.
- Experience working in an international or distributed technology environment.
- Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
- Experience supporting customer-facing applications or technology projects.




- Familiarity with source-control and code-review processes, including Git and pull requests.

Technical Skills and Competencies

- Programming & Automation: Ability to program or script using at least one major language, such as Java, C, Python, PowerShell, Bash, or a comparable language, and automate routine technical activities.
- Cloud Platforms & Infrastructure: Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including cloud and infrastructure support activities.
- CI/CD & Deployment Automation: Experience designing, maintaining, or supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, automated deployments, and related development processes.
- Containers & Orchestration: Experience working with container and container-orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Operating Systems: Basic understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems used within relevant cloud and infrastructure environments.
- Monitoring & Incident Resolution: Experience monitoring applications and infrastructure, troubleshooting incidents, conducting root-cause analysis, and contributing to performance improvements.
- Code Quality & Testing: Ability to debug and optimize code and support unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and technical documentation.
- Version Control & Code Review: Familiarity with Git, version-control practices, code reviews, and pull-request workflows.
- Agile Development Practices: Experience working with Agile or comparable software-development methodologies in collaborative or distributed technology environments.
- Infrastructure as Code & Observability: Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools and monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
- Customer & Project Support: Experience supporting customer-facing applications, technology projects, or cloud-based services.
- Certifications & Additional Experience (Preferred): Relevant cloud, DevOps, ITIL, Microsoft, Linux, Kubernetes, or technology-specific certifications, along with experience working in an international or distributed technology setting.
