To support procurement and purchasing activities related to engineering and utilities in a chemical manufacturing setting, ensuring timely sourcing, vendor coordination, and compliance with quality and cost standards.
Principal Accountabilities
- Assist in procurement of engineering and utility-related materials and services to ensure timely availability for uninterrupted plant operations.
- Assist to coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and documentation.
- Learn and support vendor evaluation and development processes to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Learn and maintain procurement records and assist in audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Work with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Maintenance, QA) to understand technical specifications and procurement needs.
- Understand and monitor market trends and pricing to support cost optimization and strategic sourcing.

Knowledge
Minimum Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering
Work Experience:
Fresher or up to 1 year of internship/industrial training in procurement or engineering support roles

- Basic understanding of procurement processes
- Knowledge of engineering materials and specifications
- Familiarity with ERP systems (preferred)
- MS Excel and documentation skills
