Role & responsibilities

• Develop Value Stream Mapping (VSM) for end-to-end process flow

• Design and optimize plant/layout for smooth material and process flow

• Analyze cycle time at each station and identify bottlenecks

• Perform time study and establish standard cycle times

• Calculate line capacity based on cycle time and demand

• Prepare capacity planning for machines, manpower, and shifts

• Balance line to improve throughput and reduce idle time

• Identify non-value-added activities and eliminate waste (Lean)

• Optimize WIP levels and improve line flow efficiency

• Support production ramp-up and line expansion planning

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for layout and process changes

• Use tools like Yamazumi, takt time, and line balancing techniques

• Improve space utilization and reduce material movement

• Monitor actual vs planned capacity and take corrective actions

• Maintain VSM, layout drawings, and capacity planning documents
