Role Description The Area Sales Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Bareilly, responsible for driving sales growth and market development for the company’s agricultural input products. This role involves managing and expanding the dealer and distributor network, meeting sales targets, and ensuring effective coverage of the assigned territory.

The Area Sales

Manager will regularly visit field locations, engage with farmers, retailers, and channel partners, conduct product demonstrations, and gather market intelligence. Daily activities include planning and executing sales strategies, monitoring competitor activity, coordinating with the marketing and supply chain teams, and preparing timely sales reports and forecasts. The role also requires training and supporting field staff, maintaining strong customer relationships, and implementing company policies and promotional activities in the region.

Qualifications

Strong sales and business development capabilities, including territory management, dealer/distributor handling, and achievement of sales targets.





Knowledge of agriculture inputs and markets, preferably in fertilizers, micronutrients, or related agrochemical products.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to interact effectively with farmers, retailers, and channel partners.

Proficiency in planning, reporting, and basic data analysis to monitor performance and support decision-making.

Ability to work independently in the field, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing market conditions.

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Science, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent in marketing or sales is an advantage.

Prior experience in a similar field sales or area sales role within the agriculture or allied industry is highly beneficial.

Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory and familiarity with the Bareilly region or nearby areas.
