A leading private sector bank is hiring Area Business Managers for its Working Capital vertical, leading a team of Business and Portfolio Relationship Managers.

Key responsibilities

- Drive a team of Business and / or Portfolio RMs at area level across new client acquisition and existing portfolio management
- Drive the team for current acquisition through branch banking and customer referrals
- Build relationships with key persons including CFOs and promoters in target segments
- Continually increase book size, sanctions outstanding and profitability of the location
- Inculcate in team members an understanding of client business models, trade related activities and cash flows
- Groom and mentor team members to desired RM productivity levels
- Channel management and driving digital adoption and right sourcing at location level
- Deepen market reach through trade meetings, industry associations and local forums




- Enhance cross-sell across insurance and cash management products
- Build a sustainable trade book with a healthy importer and exporter mix at location level
- Drive high calibre client service and manage turnaround time across onboarding, customer requests and renewals
- Monitor and oversee continuous process improvement and benchmark industry best practices

Reports to: Regional Business Manager. Will have a team of Business and / or Portfolio RMs reporting in. MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: 7-8 years of experience IN THE LOCAL MARKET of the city applied for. This is a hard requirement - candidates without local market experience for the specific city will not be considered. Both credit AND sales background required, along with prior experience driving and managing teams.
