Role & responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

- Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on sales forecasts and customer demand.
- Prepare and monitor manufacturing schedules for OSD and Liquid dosage forms.
- Ensure optimum utilization of production capacity, machines, and manpower.
- Track production plan adherence and resolve scheduling deviations.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Warehouse, Procurement, and Engineering for smooth execution.

Material Requirement Planning (MRP)

- Prepare MRP for APIs, excipients, packaging materials, and consumables.
- Ensure timely availability of materials for uninterrupted production.
- Coordinate with Procurement and vendors to manage material lead times.
- Monitor shortages and implement corrective actions to avoid production delays.

Inventory Management

- Monitor RM, PM, WIP, and Finished Goods inventory levels.
- Maintain optimum inventory while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
- Manage inventory aging and ensure FEFO/FIFO compliance.
- Conduct inventory analysis and stock reconciliation.

Demand & Supply Planning

- Align production plans with market demand and sales forecasts.
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;) activities.
- Ensure timely fulfillment of domestic and export customer requirements.




- Coordinate planning for regulated markets including USFDA, EU, MHRA, and TGA.

Cross-Functional Coordination

- Collaborate with Production, QA, QC, Regulatory Affairs, Warehouse, Procurement, and Dispatch teams.
- Support current product launches and technology transfer projects.
- Resolve planning and supply chain bottlenecks to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Compliance & Quality

- Ensure all planning activities comply with cGMP and company quality systems.
- Maintain planning documentation and data integrity.
- Support regulatory audits and inspections by providing required PPIC records.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

- Prepare PPIC MIS reports and management dashboards.
- Monitor KPIs such as Production Plan Adherence, OTIF, Inventory Turnover, Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Days, Capacity Utilization, and Backorders.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning efficiency, inventory optimization, and operational performance.
