Job Title: AGM Procurement & Contracts
Location: Oce in Indiranagar, Bengaluru and Frequent visit to site (North Bangalore)
Department: Procurement
Reports to: Chief Operating Ocer (COO)
Experience: 10-12 years
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines, quality expectations, and cost objectives.
- Translate project requirements into structured sourcing plans in collaboration with design, project, and finance teams.
- Build forecasting mechanisms for materials, long-lead items, and specialized procurements.Material Sourcing & Cost Management
- Lead sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation for construction materials, equipment, and service contracts.
- Strengthen vendor competition through structured bidding, comparative assessments, and strategic negotiation.
- Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize cost without compromising quality or design intent.
Vendor Development & Relationship Management
- Identify, onboard, and develop vendors, contractors, and specialist agencies to strengthen the supply ecosystem.
- Establish clear performance metrics and conduct vendor reviews to maintain consistent service quality.
- Resolve commercial issues and disputes in collaboration with legal, finance, and project teams.
Tendering & Contracting
- Lead end-to-end tender management for current projects including preparation of tender documents, technical/commercial evaluations, and contract awarding.
- Ensure all contracts and agreements reflect project-specific requirements, commercial clarity, and regulatory compliance.
Logistics, Delivery & Inventory Oversight
- Oversee logistics planning, coordination of deliveries, and material movement toensure site readiness.
- Work closely with project teams to track consumption, stock levels, and site material requirements.
- Establish inventory systems that minimize wastage,
prevent shortages, and improve material visibility across projects. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable laws, standards, and company governance requirements.
- Maintain organized documentation for vendor agreements, approvals, permits, and procurement records.
- Support legal teams with documentation and compliance for procurement-related permissions.
Scrap & Asset Management
- Implement ecient scrap handling, disposal, and recycling procedures in alignment with sustainability goals.
- Optimize asset utilization and manage processes related to returns, reusables, and material recovery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal clients including project managers, construction teams, design teams, and finance to align procurement with project needs.
- Serve as a key liaison to ensure smooth communication between contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Build strong processes, SOPs, and tracking systems that strengthen procurement performance and operational excellence.
- Promote a culture of transparency, collaboration, and high service standards within the department.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or Business; specialization in Supply Chain or Procurement preferred.
- 15 + years of procurement experience in real estate, construction, or infrastructure; prior leadership experience required.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, technical specifications, and industry sourcing practices.
- Experience in procurement systems, ERP tools, and digital workflows.
- Proven negotiation, vendor development, and team leadership capabilities.
- Solid understanding of regulatory and contractual processes related to procurement in India.
