Role Summary:

The EHS Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) systems to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies. The role focuses on creating a secure workplace, minimising environmental impact, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organisation.

Role & responsibilities:

Environment:

- Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations (CPCB, SPCB, pollution control norms).
- Monitor effluent treatment plant (ETP), emissions, waste management, and hazardous waste disposal.
- Maintain environmental documentation, records, and statutory registers.
- Coordinate with external agencies for environmental audits and inspections.

Health & Safety:

- Implement safety policies, SOPs, and safe work practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections,



and risk assessments (HIRA, JSA).
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and conduct safety training and mock drills.
- Monitor occupational health, emergency preparedness, and fire safety systems.
- Support ISO 45001 / OHSAS requirements.

Compliance & Documentation:

- Ensure compliance with Factory Act, MSIHC Rules, Hazardous Waste Rules, and other applicable laws.
- Liaison with government authorities, inspectors, and auditors.
- Prepare and submit statutory returns and reports on time.
- Maintain MSDS, safety permits, and legal compliance trackers.
