Responsible for end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation planning, freight management, dispatch execution, and delivery tracking to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan vehicles based on dispatch volume, dimensions, and load optimization
- Negotiate freight rates, manage RFQs, and develop transporter network
- Ensure timely vehicle placement and smooth coordination with transporters
- Manage inbound material pickups from suppliers aligned with production needs
- Track shipments and ensure on-time dispatches and deliveries
- Coordinate with Sales, Production, Warehouse, and Customers
- Prepare MIS reports and monitor KPIs (cost, TAT, utilization, delivery adherence)
- Drive cost optimization through route planning and consolidation (milk run)
- Verify freight bills, manage accruals, and ensure compliance (E-Way Bill, POD, LR)
- Handle Local movements and resolve logistics issues proactively
