We are seeking an accomplished, visionary, and student-centric Principal (FEMALE CANDIDATES PREFERRED) to lead our International Baccalaureate (IB) School in Bengaluru. The Principal will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring academic excellence, fostering innovation, maintaining IB standards, and creating a safe, inclusive, and future-ready learning environment. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in IB education, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for developing globally minded learners.

Role & responsibilities

- Provide strategic leadership to achieve the school's vision, mission, and academic objectives.
- Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of the IB curriculum (PYP/MYP/DP, as applicable) in accordance with IB standards and practices.
- Drive excellence in teaching, learning, assessment, and overall student outcomes.
- Recruit, mentor, develop, and evaluate faculty and administrative staff to build a high-performing team.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and student-centric learning environment with a strong focus on student wellbeing and safeguarding.
- Oversee the day-to-day academic, administrative, and operational management of the school.
- Ensure compliance with IB requirements, statutory regulations, and school policies.
- Develop and implement the school's strategic plans, annual goals, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Build solid relationships with parents, students, staff, and the wider school community through effective communication and engagement.
- Manage admissions, student retention, and initiatives to strengthen the school's reputation and brand.
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets, optimize resources, and ensure financial sustainability.
- Foster innovation by integrating technology, digital learning, and best educational practices into the curriculum.
- Lead IB authorization, evaluation,



and accreditation processes, ensuring continuous quality improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to academic performance, staff effectiveness, operational excellence, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Represent the school with regulatory bodies, educational organizations, universities, and external stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of integrity, collaboration, diversity, inclusion, and continuous professional development across the school.

Preferred candidate profile

- Master's Degree in Education or a relevant discipline; B.Ed. is mandatory. A Ph.D. is preferred.
- 15-20+ years of experience in teaching and school leadership, with 5-8 years as a Principal, Head of School, or Vice Principal in an IB World School.
- Strong experience in implementing and leading IB programmes (PYP/MYP/DP) and managing IB authorization/evaluation processes.
- Proven track record of driving academic excellence, school improvement, and student achievement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teaching and administrative teams.
- Excellent understanding of curriculum planning, instructional leadership, assessment practices, and educational technology.
- Strong administrative, financial, and operational management capabilities.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with parents, staff, and the school community.
- Experience in admissions growth, strategic planning, policy implementation, and regulatory compliance.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, emotional intelligence, and commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.
- IB leadership training or certification will be an added advantage.
- Experience in international schools or multicultural educational environments is highly preferred.
