Application Security Engineer Role Description: We are looking for an Application Security Engineer to help identify, assess, and mitigate security vulnerabilities across our web applications and digital platforms. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of offensive security techniques and be able to think like an attacker to proactively identify potential weaknesses before they can be exploited. Key Responsibilities:

Perform security assessments and penetration testing of web applications.

Identify vulnerabilities related to authentication, authorization, session management, APIs, and business logic.

Simulate real-world attack scenarios to evaluate application security.

Test applications for potential bypasses, manipulation, and abuse of workflows.

Collaborate with development teams to remediate security issues and validate fixes.

Conduct vulnerability assessments and prepare security reports with actionable recommendations.

Stay up to date with emerging threats, attack techniques, and security best practices.





Contribute to improving secure development practices throughout the software lifecycle. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

2–5 years of experience in application security, penetration testing, or ethical hacking.

Strong knowledge of web application security concepts and the OWASP Top 10.

Hands-on experience with tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nmap, Wireshark, or similar.

Good understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, authentication mechanisms, and session management.

Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, SQL, and common web technologies.

Experience with vulnerability assessment and security testing methodologies.

Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Security certifications such as CEH, OSCP, PNPT, or similar are an added advantage.
