DESCRIPTION

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll join a dedicated team providing world-class scientific expertise and support to customers. As a Field Applications Scientist, you'll serve as a trusted technical advisor helping customers optimize their use of our advanced technologies across multiple scientific domains. In this role, you'll deliver exceptional pre-sales and post-sales support through product demonstrations, hands-on training, troubleshooting assistance, and technical consultation.

Working closely with sales teams and cross-functional partners, you'll help customers achieve significant discoveries while building long-term relationships that drive business success.

REQUIREMENTS

- Advanced Degree, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience with relevant instrumentation and applications
- Preferred Fields of Study: Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or related discipline
- Additional relevant certifications a plus
- Demonstrated expertise in field application support, customer training, and technical troubleshooting
- Robust presentation and communication skills for delivering technical content to diverse audiences
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions
- Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence for understanding customer needs
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant scientific software
- Fluency in English required; additional language skills beneficial
- Experience with data analysis, experimental design, and method development
- Deep technical knowledge of specific product portfolio and applications
- Understanding of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous learning
