Established in 2012, the company combines research and development consultancy with mature design processes to deliver complete, high-end technical solutions.
Digicomm helps clients bring products to market ahead of the competition by leveraging deep industry knowledge and access to current and emerging technologies. In addition to design services, the company runs an educational division that develops advanced electronics and communications trainer kits widely used by engineering students across India. Core capabilities include physical design, static timing analysis, layout design, and front-end semiconductor expertise.
Role Description The Analog Layout Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in Bengaluru South. The person in this role will be responsible for creating robust analog and mixed-signal layout designs, including floorplanning, device matching, routing, and parasitic-aware implementation in advanced semiconductor technologies. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with circuit designers to translate schematics into optimized layouts, performing layout versus schematic (LVS) and design rule checks (DRC), and addressing physical verification issues.
The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that layouts meet performance,
reliability, manufacturability, and yield targets, while adhering to project schedules and quality standards. Additional responsibilities include maintaining layout documentation, following established design methodologies, and contributing to continuous improvement of layout flows and best practices.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Layout Design and Analog Layout methodologies, including floorplanning, matching techniques, and parasitic optimization.
Solid understanding of Circuit Design and Analog Circuits, with the ability to interpret schematics and design requirements for mixed-signal blocks.
Hands-on experience with Physical Verification, including DRC, LVS, ERC, and familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools.
Proficiency with common analog/mixed-signal layout tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso or equivalent) and semiconductor process design kits (PDKs).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, VLSI, or a related discipline.
Knowledge of CMOS technologies, device physics, and foundry design rules;
experience with deep submicron nodes is an advantage.
Ability to work collaboratively with design and verification teams, manage multiple tasks, and meet project timelines.
