About the role

We are seeking an experienced AI Security Engineer Consultant to help secure the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML and Generative AI solutions across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate will combine solid security architecture/application security expertise with a solid understanding of modern AI architectures, including RAG, vector databases, AI agents, model endpoints, and GenAI security risks.

Employment Type: Freelance Key Responsibilities

Design and review secure architectures for AI/ML and Generative AI workloads.

Perform threat modeling across AI training, inference, and application environments.

Establish security controls across the complete AI lifecycle, including data protection and governance.

Define GenAI security guardrails for safety,



misuse prevention, and secure tool execution.

Partner with Cloud, IAM, Platform, Data Science, and Security teams to implement secure access controls.

Review AI solution architectures against enterprise security standards.

Address AI-specific security risks including prompt injection, data leakage, model theft, and model poisoning.

Support AI model governance, auditability, monitoring, and incident response readiness.

Develop AI security standards, architecture guidelines, implementation patterns, and best practices.

Required

Skills

5+ years of experience in Security Architecture or Security Engineering.

Strong understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI architectures.

Hands-on understanding of:

RAG

Vector Databases

AI Agents

Model Endpoints

LLM Applications

Experience securing cloud-native applications and APIs on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Strong expertise in Application Security, API Security, Threat Modeling, and Secure SDLC.

Experience mitigating

Prompt Injection

Data Leakage

Model Theft

Model Poisoning

Strong knowledge of IAM, encryption, secrets management, logging, and monitoring.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with enterprise GenAI platforms, AI governance, or regulated environments is preferred.
